What this does

No Access hides Reviews navigation and denies direct URLs and protected reads. Read-Only permits viewing applicable reviews and configuration, but cannot publish, edit or delete replies, change Auto-Draft, notifications, widgets or settings, or generate metered previews. Editor permits the supported actions on the pages granted to that role within its assigned scope. Reviews permissions control core widget configuration and preview. Creative Studio access is not required. Group access applies to authorized locations; a location role remains limited to that location. Existing group defaults and location overrides for automation, notification and widget settings do not grant user access. Missing Reviews permissions default to No Access. Explicit historical Reviews grants are preserved only until an explicit Reviews assignment replaces them. ShiftQ permission alone is insufficient. A missing Workspace link can also mean no authorized, API-available, mapped Google Business Profile is available. A synchronization attention message does not grant access or bypass provider restrictions. Contact an administrator or Support if access or synchronization requires attention. Human role permissions are separate from Customer API application scopes; Google Customer API reads/reply writes remain policy-gated and Reviews webhooks remain metadata-only.

Steps

  1. An authorized role administrator opens Users > Roles and selects Reviews.
  2. Choose No Access, Read-Only, or Editor for the Reviews pages, then save the role.
  3. Assign the role at the group or one of its authorized locations.
  4. Open Workspace > Reviews at an authorized location with an available connected Google Business Profile.

What happens next

Warnings
