What this does

Manage a location's MatriQ gateway, endpoints, navigation, guide, PIN, screen lock, device information, notes, and cloud backups from their dedicated pages.

Steps

  1. Select the exact location or parent dashboard.
  2. Review gateway and endpoint health.
  3. Open the page for navigation, TV guide, integrations, admin PIN, display, screen lock, devices, custom guide, device info, installer notes, or backups.
  4. Change only the intended control and apply/save.
  5. Verify endpoint state and the displayed freshness timestamp.

Page reference

Dashboard summarizes health; Navigation and TV Guide control day-to-day selection; Integrations exposes connected sources; Admin PIN and Screen Lock govern local control; Devices and Device Info expose endpoints; Custom Guide changes presentation; Installer Notes record site context; Cloud Backups expose supported recovery state.

Parent and location scope

Parent dashboard can compare eligible locations. Direct control pages are location-scoped and can be unavailable at All Locations.

Applied, pending, offline, and stale

Applied is confirmed by current endpoint state. Pending waits for delivery. Offline cannot receive. Stale means the displayed state may not reflect the latest endpoint.

Permissions and scope

  • No Access hides or blocks the module. Read Only permits viewing but disables changes. Editor permits the documented create, edit, publish, or administrative actions within the user's assigned scope.

Mobile

  • On narrow screens, open the sidebar or overflow menu to reach the same actions; labels and save behavior are unchanged unless this article says otherwise.

Customer-visible states

  • online
  • offline
  • pending
  • applied
  • failed
  • stale
  • no paired gateway

Warnings

  • Control changes can affect live venue screens. Cloud restore or PIN changes should be performed only by authorized editors.

Troubleshooting

  • Offline or stale endpoints cannot confirm applied changes until connectivity returns.
  • Parent dashboard is a rollup; select a location for direct controls.
  • Integration or guide failures may need SportsQ/provider configuration rather than MatriQ hardware changes.
  • For save/apply and resulting endpoint state, verify the selected scope, access level, required connection, and displayed validation or freshness status; retry once after correcting the cause, then create a context-rich Support case if it continues.
  • For offline, stale, permission, and validation states, verify the selected scope, access level, required connection, and displayed validation or freshness status; retry once after correcting the cause, then create a context-rich Support case if it continues.
