What this does

Create or upload reusable assets, validate their format, inspect usage, and understand consequences before replacement or archive.

Steps

  1. Open Campaigns, then Assets.
  2. Search before creating a duplicate.
  3. Choose Create Asset or open an existing asset.
  4. Add media and required metadata, then resolve validation errors.
  5. Save and preview.
  6. Check usage relationships before replacing a version or archiving.

Asset field reference

Name and metadata identify the asset; media supplies the content; scope controls visibility; validation determines eligibility; usage lists dependent campaigns.

Versions and archive

A replacement creates or selects a newer asset version where supported. Archive removes it from normal selection without fabricating deletion of historical delivery records.

Permissions and scope

  • No Access hides or blocks the module. Read Only permits viewing but disables changes. Editor permits the documented create, edit, publish, or administrative actions within the user's assigned scope.

Mobile

  • On narrow screens, open the sidebar or overflow menu to reach the same actions; labels and save behavior are unchanged unless this article says otherwise.

Warnings

  • Archiving or replacing an in-use asset can affect future campaign delivery; review usage first.

Troubleshooting

  • Failed uploads can result from unsupported type, size/duration limits, interrupted transfer, or validation failure.
  • If an asset cannot be archived, remove or replace blocking usage relationships first.
  • For upload and usage states, verify the selected scope, access level, required connection, and displayed validation or freshness status; retry once after correcting the cause, then create a context-rich Support case if it continues.
