BevQ · How-To
BevQ menu editor and field reference
Build location-aware beverage menus from canonical records, with sections, item details, ordering, availability, and publishing state.
What this does
Build location-aware beverage menus from canonical records, with sections, item details, ordering, availability, and publishing state.
Steps
- Open BevQ and confirm scope.
- Choose or create the intended menu.
- Add canonical items and organize sections.
- Edit supported price, description, availability, and display values.
- Reorder, archive, or restore as needed.
- Save and verify each TV, widget, printable, or social output separately.
Menu field reference
Menu name identifies output; sections group items; canonical item links the beverage record; presentation fields can include display name, price, description, availability, order, and visibility as exposed in the editor.
Create, edit, reorder, archive, restore
Save validates required fields. Archive removes normal display without fabricating deletion of history. Restore makes an eligible item selectable again.
Group and location behavior
Group scope can manage shared structures where supported; price, availability, POS mapping, and published output are commonly location-specific.
Settings reference
| Setting | What it does | Default | Scope | Notes |

Permissions and scope
- No Access hides or blocks the module. Read Only permits viewing but disables changes. Editor permits the documented create, edit, publish, or administrative actions within the user's assigned scope.
Mobile
- On narrow screens, open the sidebar or overflow menu to reach the same actions; labels and save behavior are unchanged unless this article says otherwise.

Warnings
- Changing a canonical record can affect more than one menu; use menu-specific fields for location presentation when available.
Troubleshooting
- A missing item can be filtered, archived, unmapped from POS, or outside the selected location.
- A saved menu does not update an offline Player until it reconnects.
- For save, publish, validation, and empty states, verify the selected scope, access level, required connection, and displayed validation or freshness status; retry once after correcting the cause, then create a context-rich Support case if it continues.
